TRAVELER’S QUESTIONS
Questions Along the Way
Every journey begins with questions. Here are a few that may help you find your bearings within Beyond Maya.
-
Beyond Maya is an interactive world for exploring spirituality, self-discovery, and personal transformation.
Rather than offering a single philosophy or prescribed path, it brings together reflections, practices, experiences, stories, and frameworks that invite you to explore your inner world — and your relationship with the world around you.
Think of it less as a place that gives you answers and more as a world designed to inspire better questions, direct experience, and discovery.
-
There is no single starting point.
If you're unsure where to begin, the Traveler's Compass can help you notice what already feels available in your life and what may be calling for greater attention.
Or simply follow your curiosity through one of four paths:
Orient — Find your bearings.
Experience — Explore through practice and play.
Explore — Follow an idea deeper.
Understand — Discover maps and frameworks. There is no correct route through Beyond Maya. Different paths. One journey.

Maya is a concept found particularly in Indian philosophical and spiritual traditions, though its meaning varies between traditions.
It is often associated with appearance, illusion, or the way reality can be misunderstood when we mistake our limited perceptions and interpretations for the whole of what is.
Beyond Maya uses the idea somewhat playfully as well as philosophically. Here, “Maya” can point toward the conditioning, assumptions, identities, stories, and perceptions through which we experience ourselves and the world.
Going beyond Maya doesn't necessarily mean escaping life.
It means becoming curious about what remains when we begin questioning what we've assumed to be true.
-
That's you. 😉
“Traveler” is simply the language Beyond Maya uses for anyone exploring this world.
It isn't a spiritual level, identity, or achievement. You don't have to reach a certain state of consciousness or know anything about spirituality to qualify.
We're all navigating the mystery of being here. Traveler simply reminds us that we're exploring it together.
-
Absolutely not.
Beyond Maya draws inspiration from many traditions, practices, philosophies, and frameworks. Some may resonate deeply with you. Others may not.
They are offered as lenses for exploration rather than beliefs you are required to adopt.
Question them. Experiment with them. Notice what happens in your own experience. Keep what proves useful, remain curious about what doesn't, and never trade your own inner knowing for someone else's certainty.
-
No. Beyond Maya isn't a religion and doesn't ask you to adopt a particular belief system.
It draws inspiration from spiritual traditions, contemplative practices, philosophy, psychology, mythology, and other ways humans have explored consciousness and the nature of existence.
You may arrive with a religious faith, a spiritual practice, an entirely secular worldview, or simply curiosity.
The invitation is the same:
Explore for yourself.
-
Maybe.
Or maybe “the game” is simply a useful metaphor.
Mystics, philosophers, religions, scientists, and storytellers have proposed radically different ideas about the nature of reality — from dreams and divine play to simulation hypotheses and worlds shaped by perception.
Beyond Maya doesn't require you to settle the question.
Instead, we sometimes approach life as if it were a sacred game: you find yourself playing a character, navigating circumstances you didn't entirely choose, encountering challenges, forming relationships, learning, creating, losing, discovering, and changing along the way.
The interesting question may not be whether life is literally a game.
It may be:
Who — or what — is aware of the character playing it? 👀
-
Beyond Maya isn't built around one teacher, tradition, or system.
It's a world where different maps of human experience can be explored alongside one another — and where understanding is meant to become something lived rather than merely collected.
That might happen through a Scroll in the Wisdom Library, a meditation, a Journey, a framework such as Human Design, a question that follows you for several days, or even a game.
The emphasis is less on accumulating spiritual knowledge and more on curiosity, direct experience, integration, and remembering what you already know beneath the noise.

The High Priestess is a guide within the world of Beyond Maya.
Inspired by the archetype of the High Priestess — the keeper of mystery, intuition, and what lies beyond appearances — she doesn't exist to tell Travelers what to believe.
She invites them to look.
You'll encounter her throughout Beyond Maya as a storyteller, guide, and occasional companion through its Journeys, teachings, and explorations.
Like much of this world, she can be understood literally, symbolically, playfully — or somewhere in between.
